Exercise
My wonderful 85 year old father is right on - he always says to me "humans were meant to move". This is true. In our world today - most of us are at desk jobs 8 hours a day sitting. No wonder we have sore necks, backs and aching wrists, etc.
STOP SITTING
Incorporating more movement in your day is important and can make a vast difference in your health.
Tips for moving on a daily basis:
- Stand up periodically throughout the day.
- Stretch, stretch and stretch
- Walk 30 minutes a day
- Take the stairs
- Do errands on foot
- Take mass transit instead of driving
Find more ways to get up and move during the day and you will feel more energized, focused and relaxed.
Tips for maintaining healthy bones:
- Weight-bearing exercises
- Strength training
- Back strengthening exercises
COMPUTER HEALTH
We all have the habit of sitting at our desks on the edge of our
seats with our head pressed forward staring at the computer. This
puts us in a forward position which is not a healthy posture.
Tips for healthy computer posture:
- Sit up straight
- Make sure your buttocks are all the way in the back of your seat
- The computer monitor should be at eye level
WEAK KNEES
Be good to your knees. Strong muscles can help absorb the impact of daily life on your knee joints.

- Strength Training(extension, curls, and presses)
